ASMODEA It might be rude to label another person's art, but drone is an oft used genre tag for this sort of music, and some claim it's inaccessible to those who weren't acclimated with more esoteric music styles. I think this album would qualify as drone with accessibility. It's a meditative dreamscape throughout. Favorite track: Wave III.

"When we released the debut ate album MCCV two years ago we were sure Petar Petkov will be back on Amek sooner or later. His chamber drone music has drank from the wells of both classical composition and modern day guitar-based ambient and shoegaze.

“Secondary Drowning” is melancholic and drifting, but far from being as fragile as ate’s earlier works. This is due not only to the more tight writing Petkov’s showing in his second album, but to a thicker and more massive production. This was handled by Studio148’s very own Marius Costache, who’s no stranger to both heavy and atmospheric experimental sound."
